for my fellow bloggers (and classmates) who have no idea where i've been for the past few days... well, you guys might be wondering what happened to me. actually, i got sick. and yes, i am human and i do get sick, thank you very much. => it wasn't that serious, just high fever and bouts of asthma. y'all don't have to worry, i'd still be here to give you a good dose of mumbo jumbos and other crap.

now here's the good part. as the "film enthusiast" that i say i am, i am going to present you with the movies that i think you should definitely not miss. i hope you like my chosen roster of movies... enjoy.

transamerica is about a conservative transsexual woman, bree, who is about to undergo her last sexual rearrangement procedure. just weeks before the scheduled operation, she receives a call from toby, a rebellious teenage boy who claims to be her son. bree finds out that toby is indeed her son, when she was still a he. the next string of events is bound to tickle and warm your hearts as both characters embark on a journey and discover the magic of their connection.

you got to trust me on this one. i've just finished watching this and there is nothing bad i can say. i really liked how felicity huffman delivered a solid performance... i mean it was almost like she WAS a transsexual. wow, i was sooo into the film i forgot i had pe class in the afternoon. whoops! sorry ms. ragunton, i just had to finish it. i just had to.


CAPOTE




















capote is about writer truman capote, who is in the midst of making his book "In Cold Blood" an account of a murder of a Kansas family. Whilst making the book, he develops a close relationship with one of the killers.

sounds intriguing huh? when i was watching the golden globes last month, i thought philip seymour hoffman did not deserve to win best actoragainst my bet, heath ledger. but then, i searched the net for information about his movie and i think i might be wrong. dead wrong.


WALK THE LINE





















walk the line is a biopic of the infamous country singer johnny cash. haven't seen this one yet, though it is already showing right now. now, why should you watch the movie? for one, like brokeback mountain and memoirs of a geisha, it's gotten rave reviews and it's also gotten tons of awards (mostly for actors joaquin and reese). so if you like music and drama, why not watch walk the line? i'm sure it won't disappoint you.
