fellow bloggers, sorry to have kept you waiting. i apologize for the delay. see, i haven't had the chance to come up with a good enough blog entry to post so i thought i would not do so yet. but luckily, the heavens smiled at me today and alas! here i am putting my thoughts into, uhm... my blog.
i admit, i was kinda lazy these past few days. heck, you really couldn't blame me, could you? i mean, wouldn't you feel as well if you had tons of assignments to do, piles of reading selections to read, and plenty of papers to research? damn, i think i'm gonna have an aneurysm for crying out loud. stop it already dear professors, you're all killing me!!!
moving on...
last week, my brother and i went to sm san lazaro to watch the premiere of harry potter and the goblet of fire. it was nice coz my classmates were also there. miguel, kevin, rose ann and i sat on the same row, while my brother chose to sit far back.hmn, i guess he wanted to scam on cute guys alone. ;) the first 2o minutes before the film were gruelling for me. i had to endure some crappy opm songs (hey, i'm not saying opm sucks, it's just that mymp isn't my cup of tea.), the appetizing aroma wafting all around and of course ang pangungulet ni kevin. 'til now, i still couldn't believe how i got through it. hehe. as for the movie, i'd say it was good. gof was a hilarious, edge of your seat adventurous romp. rating: 8/10. i suggest you see it in a theatre near you if you still haven't watched it.
last tuesday, the 1lit class had the rare priviledge of attending a lecture by no less than the high priestess/empress of philippine poetry, Dr. Ophelia Alcantara Dimalanta. (now that's what i call one hell of an introduction... ;>) saying that the event was awesome, is an understatement. all i know is that i'd give anything in the world to relive that moment again. ( but then, i wouldn't trade my gael for anything. )
the following day meant another victory for me. for the second time, our class was requested to attend another lecture. and that means there is no last period. (alang pgc!!! yahooo!!!!) lam nyo naman kasi, pag pgc below sea level ang utak ng lola nyo. anyways, the lecturer for that day was no other than literary critic, Isagani Cruz. t'was memorable for me coz i learned an awful lot from him, and he was also very funny i could'nt help but giggle. too bad Nick Joaquin already passed away. but then again, all of these would never have happened if he didn't. may God rest his soul.
hmn, and earlier today, i attended a poetry forum. tee-hee... i kinda enjoyed myself coz the speakers were very enlightening and not to mention very amusing, especially lourd ernest de veyra and paolo manalo. both were very funny yet they had this way of making you uhm, learn from them. well, isn't that the best day a girl could evere ask for?
